Conversely, countries like the UK, where rabies is not prevalent, typically follow a vaccination schedule of every three years as per their regulatory standards and risk assessment protocols. It would be best to check with your local vet just to be sure.

Thanks for reaching out to us. If the cause of the osteomyelitis can be resolved then there is a chance it can heal. The concern in a 16 year old doggy is that it may be due to something more sinister. If you are able to come through to us at Hillcrest Vets and book a consult we would be happy to look at it for you. Otherwise if you are far away you could get a 2nd opinion at another local vet.
